-how much can change in a month...- -well, not much actually- -just weird how things can actually go back to normal- -or almost back to normal- -there was a difference or two- -Blair and Nate were...- -well, they were back together- -and things were running smoothly- -of course, since the Debutante ball...- -why wouldn't they run smoothly?- -they'd done something Blair they'd wanted to do since they got together- -and nothing stopped them this time-
-the whole night had gone so well- -of course, apart from the little hiccup- -but that was soon forgotten- -and to be honest, was one of the reasons they ended up like they did- -thank you Chuck Bass- -speaking of Chuck Bass...- -he'd disappeared after that night- -not a single phone call- -or letter...nothing- -but as if he'd write...- -especially to Blair- -she'd told him not to speak to her and he didn't- -but he hadn't even spoken to Nate- -didn't tell him where he was going or when he'd be back- -hmm....remind anyone of Serena?-
-now, Blair wasn't worried- -she didn't ask Nate about him once...- -well, okay she did, but only once- -and it was only in passing- -and Nate had replied that he hadn't got a text or anything- -his best friend was just missing- -not a single hint of contacting him or anyone- -until a week ago- -when Nate had told Blair that he was heading out Monaco- -and Blair had got the text from Chuck- -saying that he was bringing Nate out to Monaco to him- -but Blair didn't care...- -right?-
"I'm going to meet Nate, I'll talk to you later S"
-snaps her phone shut- -was meeting Nate at the steps- -she'd just finished school- -and Nate was supposed to be coming back from Monaco- -he'd be there soon- -well, she was sure he would be- -walking over to the steps, she pushed her skirt flat down and sat herself down- -glancing at the people walking by- -just going about their daily lives- -opens her phone back up- -pondering checking Gossip Girl to see what the new scoop was...- -but as fate would have it, Nate had just text her-
Only got back. Need some shut eye. I'll bring you for dinner tonight. Sorry. Love you. x.
-heavy sigh- -snaps her phone shut- -....maybe he did need some sleep- -or maybe he was avoiding her- -did he know?- -Chuck wouldn't tell him...- -wouldn't he?-

*he didn't need Blair Waldorf anyways* *this was all he really needed* *some random concierge girls from the hotel in Monaco* *a bottle of expensive champagne* *and he'd charm their socks off* *though obviously that wasn't the only thing he wanted of...* *some might call it rebound* *or escaping to lick your wounds* *Chuck called it getting on with life* *yes, he'd played a dangerous game* *he'd lost* *and though he'd never admit it* *he'd have to live with it*
*so he'd been there having a ball of a time* *when on one drunken night* *he'd decided he wanted to go for round two* *plan of attack, tell Nate everything* *well. no not everything* *he had to keep himself out of trouble* *but enough that Nate would become angry with Blair* *if he couldn't have her, he didn't want anyone else to* *what a selfish Bass* *but what else is new* *so he'd texted nate* *and told him to get his ass to Monaco and join him* *but by the time he'd gotten there* *Chuck couldn't do it* *what were those things Blair told him about?* *butterflies?* *Every time he was going to tell Nate* *they started fluttering around reminding him of how she would feel* *feel?* *since when did Chuck bass give a shit about feelings* *so he hadn't told him*
*and then Nate had to go back* *and Chuck decided he'd go back* *not sure if he would stay* *but he needed to check on his business investment* *and catch up with a few old... friends* *coughcough* *plus his father had told him that he had some important news* *it was probably nothing important but his father rarely made an effort to tell him something important* *so he figured this might be interesting*
*walked out of the hotel* *had only just arrived back* *left Nate at his house* *and was now driving down the street their school was on* *his father had told him to get any work he'd missed* *Chuck didn't want to but his father had been rather pushy* *and he did sort of owe him for accepting his business proposal* *so he would go by the school* *give Gossip girl something to write about* *snicker* *reaches destination* *and gets out of the car* *yes!* *he does, on occasion, get out of the car* *about to head up the steps* *spots a familiar brunette on said steps* *cue butterflies* *groans to himself* *control yourself Bass!* *walks over smoothly*
Blair...
*that's his grand come back phrase* *smooth*

-flipping her phone open- -and then closed again- -once more...- -and another time- -she really wasn't sure if she should just let this go...- -could she just sit back and wait?- -Nate might just be tired- -and that was that- -nothing to it..- -but he had barely contacted her in the last few days- -not a good sign- -maybe he was just too busy catching up with Chuck...- -well really, that's what worried Blair most- -but she shouldn't really worry- -Chuck would know what would happen if he said anything-
-wouldn't he?- -well, he better- -he wouldn't dare show his face again- -well, he would but Blair would make sure he left with his tail between his legs- -she wasn't having anyone ruin what her and Nate have- -they'd just got everything back to normal- -and she wasn't going to have anyone trudge up the past- -because thats all it was...- -the past- -something that had happened- -and she regretted it- -okay, so that was a lie- -she wanted to regret it- -but somehow...she just couldn't- -it would make sense to regret it after the first time- -but she had gone back to him- -and she'd enjoyed being in his company...- -that meant something didn't it?-
-about to text Nate to tell him she was coming over- -if he needed rest then she would let him rest- -but at least she could talk to him there- -opens her phone back up- -about to send a message when she hears a familiar voice- -but...that voice belonged to someone who wasn't back yet- -then again, she didn't know that- -he might have come back with Nate- -and it seemed like he had- -closes her phone over- -glances up- -raises her eyebrows-
"I thought I told you not to speak to me?"
-well, this would surely be on Gossip Girl- -but then again...- -why would it?- -no one knew what happened- -but still, it was a big thing to have Chuck Bass back in town- -wait...- -he was back and thats all he had to say to her?- -but she did tell him to not speak to her- -glances at her phone for a split second- -and then back up- -stands up from the steps- -stern look on her face-
"We need to talk. Now"
-eyebrows raised- -daring him to defy her-

*a small smirk tugged at his lips* *He was Chuck Bass* *since when did he do what he was told* *besides, if he'd wanted to talk to her all that bad, he'd have taken all her calls in Monaco* *sure he texted back twice* *the first one... well he could only imagine the look that must have graced her face as she'd read it* *and the second one was simply taunting* *he'd been angry and had send it as a threat* *or perhaps a warning was a better word for it* *just to show her that she couldn't mess around with him* *and she couldn't* *He was Chuck Bass remember?* *a full on smirk now as she tells him they need to talk*
Contradicting ourselves are we B?
*that's right* *B* *it seemed letters were the thing to do these days* *Dan Humpfrey called Vanessa "v"* *and Blair called Serena "S"* *Serena called Nate "N"* *when she called him at all* *apparently things hadn't been that great there lately* *but that's all from Speck's point of view because Why would Chuck Bass care about who calls who what* *bit of a brain teaser there* *especially that Stalker Dan* *who would get paid back for the black circle that had hung around Chuck's eye* *and then he'd had the audacity to come to his hotel* *his hotel!?!* *but no matter* *he had bigger fish to fry*
*sliding one hand into his pants pocket* *he nodded* *not allowing the smirk to leave*
So let's talk. You never did answer my first text you know.
*take that Walkdorf* *cue butterflies* *now where was that emotional axe when you needed it?*
[Sorry It's so short >.<][/color]

-she could see that smirk- -just threatening to appear as if to just mock her slightly- -knowing it would annoy her ever so slightly- -oh, she'd wipe it off his face- -he had some questions to answer- -and that was that- -for one; that text he sent her- -how dare he?- -did he have no manners...- -well, this was Chuck Bass- -what was she expecting?- -for him to just back down and be happy for her and Nate?- -no way- -she had finished whatever they were having and that wouldn't make Chuck a very happy boy- -but since when did Blair care?- -she didn't and that was that- -she was happy that she was back with Nate and thats what mattered-
-oh and there was that full on smirk- -taunting her completely and utterly- -did he want a slap?- -a frown makes it's way to her brow as he speaks- -he had picked up on her little mistake- -telling not to speak to her...- -and then the next minute telling him they needed to speak- -she was cursing herself for doing that- -little slip up there B- -slight glare as she folds her arms across her chest-
"This is not a time for jokes, Bass"
-second names- -always much better when having an argument- -they needed to talk and that was that- -she needed to make sure he was going to mention anything- -that their little....whatever you would call it, wasn't going to go public- -she wouldn't want that- -it would ruin things with Nate- -and she'd worked so hard to get it back- -well...she'd let Nate work and that was that- -oh...that text-
"Well, I was shocked at first when I realised that pigs could use phones"
-eyebrows quirked once- -touche Chuck- -shifts on the spot- -time to tell him how things were- -or how things were going to stay-
"I'm more interested in the last text you sent and the little bit of information I want kept behind your lips. I swear Chuck, you better not have said one word"
